I fish a lot at night on rivers. A quality DEPENDABLE light is a must (also recommend at least one backup). I have tried many many lights, I have box of old lights that did not measure up or quit when I needed it most.

Just buy it, trust me. I bought 4 of these. This thing is brighter than a cars headlight. Even the low light is bright. And the strobe mode.. forget about it, you’d think the cops were coming.
The battery last long too. You can adjust the spot of the light to wide on one end and search light beam on the opposite (you can signal Batman for help on this setting). I mounted one of these on my bike to ride at night in a forest reserve and another set on my helmet. You see all kind of ish out there :D

Totally approve!!! These are the best headlamps I have ever owned in this price range. I basically like to invest under $40 for these type of things. But this one is it! It's 4:44 p.m. right now and the sun doesn't go down until about 8:30 pm and it shines super bright. I feel like the brightness is 3 times the brightness of my grand cherokee headlights. Try them! You won't be disappointed.
